The lighthouse at Byron Bay is high on a hill with a path leading down the
hill to the point in the distance - the most easterly point in Australia.
The seas around this point are quite turbulent and this coastline is not
particularly suitable for swimming although the opposite side is very
protected and calm. There were lots of swimmers in the water, plus surfers.
All along the hilltop people were standing with binoculars looking for
whales passing but we were again out of luck.
Gill and Peter like to travel. In 2011/12 they completed a trip around Australia. One of the things that they are aware of is the fact that to live your dream then you actually have to do something and that's what they did. In 2013 they decided to further explore outback Australia and crossed the Simpson Desert. Going forward they will continue to travel as they plan for the next few years. To see some of their other trips follow the links.
