The beach shelter that we stayed in at Kooljaman Resort was beside the
Eastern beach and we had a short walk down the sand, over a few rocks and
into the water. We went swimming each day and there were a few waves to
make it different from the flatness of Middle Lagoon.
In front of the restaurant area was Western beach and this was a very
different coastline and although swimming was allowed this area was also
designated for fishing. The cliffs were just amazing and varied in colour
from white, to oranges and reds. It was also really interesting to see
various fossils in the rocks. Certainly made for interesting walks along
the beach.
Gill and Peter like to travel. In 2011/12 they completed a trip around Australia. One of the things that they are aware of is the fact that to live your dream then you actually have to do something and that's what they did. In 2013 they decided to further explore outback Australia and crossed the Simpson Desert. Going forward they will continue to travel as they plan for the next few years. To see some of their other trips follow the links.
