This is one of the biggest crocodile we have seen (other than Sweetheart
which is now exhibited at the Darwin Museum and Art Gallery). The crocodile
was sitting on the bank of the Adelaide River and did not move at all as the
boat went up and down.
We understand that this particular crocodile is about ninety years of age so
certainly a grandfather crocodile! He was huge so we could only imagine
what the inside of his mouth looked like if he was jumping for food.
Perhaps he is too old to jump now.
It was certainly great to see it and he was not the least bit bothered by a
boat load of tourists gawking and taking photos.
Gill and Peter like to travel. In 2011/12 they completed a trip around Australia. One of the things that they are aware of is the fact that to live your dream then you actually have to do something and that's what they did. In 2013 they decided to further explore outback Australia and crossed the Simpson Desert. Going forward they will continue to travel as they plan for the next few years. To see some of their other trips follow the links.
