On our way back to Wyndham we made one more stop, this time at the Afghan
cemetery. This may sound like an unusual place to visit however it was
interesting. The Afghan settlers with their camels and donkeys provided an
important means of transport between the towns and stations in the area in
the 1890's. The graves are not named, but are marked, and they are quite
large as it is believed that the lead camel was buried alongside its master.
