A row of leaning trees lined the driveway from the Lynton Convict Depot to
the Sandford Station where the original supervisor's house is located. From
this photo you can see how dry the surrounding area is. This station farms
sheep and cattle and also produces grain and they attempt to be
self-sufficient. There was a small camping ground at the station called
"Linga Longa". The farm dog came to check us out as we wandered around the
area open to the public.
Gill and Peter like to travel. In 2011/12 they completed a trip around Australia. One of the things that they are aware of is the fact that to live your dream then you actually have to do something and that's what they did. In 2013 they decided to further explore outback Australia and crossed the Simpson Desert. Going forward they will continue to travel as they plan for the next few years. To see some of their other trips follow the links.
