We drove about five kilometres from our campsite to Ubirr to see the
Aboriginal Art. We were so pleased that we had attended the ranger talk as
it was great to spot the various paintings that she had explained to us.
The walk to see the paintings is only about two kilometres and there is
something to see the whole way. Our first stop gave us the added treat of
seeing a couple of rock wallabies sitting on the rocks. They are quite hard
to spot because they are coloured very similar to the rocks but Connor was
quick to spot them. One of the wallabies has a joey in its pouch. The
photos are unfortunately quite dark as they were sitting in the shady parts
of the rock. It might be a case of "can you spot the wallaby". It was
again a very warm day, around the 30 degrees.
Gill and Peter like to travel. In 2011/12 they completed a trip around Australia. One of the things that they are aware of is the fact that to live your dream then you actually have to do something and that's what they did. In 2013 they decided to further explore outback Australia and crossed the Simpson Desert. Going forward they will continue to travel as they plan for the next few years. To see some of their other trips follow the links.
