An ancient barrier reef

At the beginning of the Windjana Gorge walk the access is through a narrow
break in the cliff and the track clings close to the side of the gorge. The
gorge was apparently an ancient reef. During the early stage of the walk
the cliffs are very pale coloured and it was possible to see various fossils
and shells imbedded in the cliff.
