Our trip to this part of the world comes to an end

After two and a half hours our boat returned to shore - the trip is very
leisurely and plenty of time is given to everyone to snorkel and explore.
We returned the short distance into shore where the boat was tied up to the
jetty there ready for the next group of tourists. The bay at Tantabiddi
Beach where the jetty is was lovely too. We then drove into Exmouth. We
decided to stay in Exmouth overnight - our first night in seven days to have
internet coverage so I can get the blog up to date and we can catch up on
washing etc. It is Mother's Day today so Peter phoned and chatted to his
mother and I spoke with both my children - one in New Zealand and one in
Russia. Skype certainly makes those calls so easy.

Next stop is Karijini National Park - a two day journey from here. We will
commence that trip tomorrow. There are still more places to see.

We now have less than three weeks to make our way to Broome where we will
meet up with friends on the 1st June. If we were to drive direct that is a
distance of 1,370 kilometres but we have diversions to make as we visit
various places on our way north so we are likely to do closer to 2,500 to
3,000 kilometres.

We have had a wonderful week on the Ningaloo Coast - the weather continues
to be amazing and whenever we speak to friends and family from Melbourne and
New Zealand who say winter is beginning to settle in, we are so glad we have
the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful part of Australia and the warm
weather at this time of the year. Long may it continue!
